For the past 15 years, regular environmental concerns include: global warming, greenhouse gases, carbon emissions, pollution, etc. It is important to understand each person’s individual contribution; for the current environmental conditions, and their inherent responsibility to take corrective action to avoid the disastrous consequences.

Wikipedia’s Sustainable Development Portal defines Sustainable development as balancing the fulfillment of human needs with the protection of the natural environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but in the indefinite future. Today the United States’ Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) aims to make sustainability the next level of environmental protection; by drawing on advances in science and technology to protect human health and the environment, and promoting innovative green business practices.

Sustainability is the practice of reducing human impact to preserve the earth’s natural resources for future generations.  A healthy environment and ecosystem are necessary to the survival and well-being of humans and other organisms. There are two major ways of reducing negative human impact: the first is environmental protection and the second is embracing clean renewable energy technologies; that do not impact the environment or the ecosystem.

Embracing and implementing renewable energy technologies addresses many of this important issues and concerns; (a) renewable energy technologies reduces environmental pollution; (b) renewable energy technologies reduces greenhouse gases and emissions; the result of population growth; (c) renewable energy technologies uses replenishing natural resources (i.e. sunlight energy, wind energy, water current energy, and geothermal energy) instead of refined fossil fuel and hazardous nuclear energy.
